Keep Your AI Memory Current as Your Work Changes
Built-in memory infers and lags. When you change jobs, launch a project, or shift preferences, here is how to keep every AI aligned.

The stale-memory problem
You start a new role. You finish a side project. Your kid's school schedule changes. Built-in AI memory was synthesized from older conversations — and may still describe the job you left, the hobby you dropped, or priorities you have already moved past.
OpenAI documents that older memory systems "often became stale" and entries "could contradict one another" — like remembering you are training for a marathon while also knowing you sprained your ankle.
How each vendor updates memory (and how fast)
- ChatGPT: The 2026 Memory Summary auto-updates via Dreaming synthesis, but you do not fully control what persists or when.
- Claude: Global memory synthesis refreshes roughly every 24 hours — not real-time for every change you mention in chat.
- Gemini: Deleting chats may have a short delay before personalization stops using them.
- Cross-tool: A correction in ChatGPT does not update Claude or Gemini. Each tool drifts independently.
Signs your AI is working from old context
- Advice references a job title or company you no longer hold
- Recommendations ignore constraints you corrected weeks ago

When to rotate your link
Rotation is for leak response, not routine editing. If your private link appeared in a shared chat, a forwarded message, or anywhere unintended, rotate from the dashboard (Advanced → Rotate link) or send /rotate in Telegram. All previous private URLs stop working immediately.
Under normal edits, your existing shared links keep working and serve the latest memory. Rotation revokes access — it does not hide content from someone who already copied your text.
If your AI still shows old info
Some AI apps cache a previously fetched copy and do not re-check your link every turn. Start a fresh chat after a significant update, or use the dashboard /prompt command in Telegram for a cache-busted instruction snippet.
